Qualifications and experience
I am a qualified Child and Adolescent psychotherapist. This means that I have completed a five-year training to work with young people and their families to help find solutions to the problems they face; to feel better about themselves and lead more positive lives. This training is accredited by the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) and Middlesex University.
As a member of UKCP, I abide by their professional code of conduct and quality standards
I have experience of working with children and young people of all ages on a variety of challenges including:
· Behavior at school and at home
· Temper tantrums and mood swings
. Adolescence and all that can go with it.
· ADHD (hyperactivity).
· The impact of divorce and separation
· Moving home and school
· Bereavement and serious illness in the family
· Domestic violence and abuse
· Anxiety - including difficulty sleeping
· Depression
· Bullying
· Feeling different because of race, religion, gender or sexuality
As well as my private practice, I also provide an in-house counselling service for a youth charity.
Having previously practiced as a solicitor, I have experience of the legal system including Family Law and Court Reports
I have full professional indemnity insurance and have an enhanced Disclosures and Barring Service Police Certificate, which means that I have been checked and cleared for working with children and vulnerable people.
North London Location
I have therapy rooms at:
Manor Gardens Centre
London N7 6LA
Near Finsbury Park, Holloway Road and Archway
Underground stations.
Fees
My fees range from £60-£85 depending on the time of day of the sessions. After school appointments are more expensive; some concessions on fees are available for those on a low income.
